Arena STEM is hiring multiple positions for STEM Instructors to join our mission-driven team in Paramus, NJ, and Bronx, NY.

Position Overview:

Arena STEM is seeking passionate and dynamic STEM Instructors to join our team in Paramus, NJ and Bronx, NY. As a STEM Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and educational STEM programs to children and young adults. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive learning environment, foster curiosity, and inspire a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging STEM lessons and activities for children and young adults, aligned with Arena STEM approach to Edutainment (Education plus Entertainment).

  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and hands-on approaches to make STEM concepts accessible and exciting to the students.

  • Facilitate interactive projects, experiments, and competitions to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity among students.

  • Guide and support students in understanding and applying scientific principles, technological skills, engineering concepts, and mathematical reasoning.

  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and positive communication among students.

  • Maintain and organize instructional materials, equipment, and resources necessary for delivering STEM programs.

  • Assess student progress and facilitate their growth and development in STEM subjects.

  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to enhance program effectiveness and share best practices.

  • Interact with parents, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to the STEM programs and students' progress.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years towards a Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related field.

  • A teaching certification or relevant educational background is a plus.

  • Knowledge and understanding of STEM principles, concepts, and practices.

  • Experience working with groups of children, either in a formal or informal setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with learners of different ages and backgrounds.

  • Enthusiasm for inspiring and motivating students to develop an interest in STEM fields.

  • Demonstrated creativity in designing and implementing engaging STEM activities.

  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing instructional materials and resources.

  • A passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to staying updated on advancements in STEM education.
