Sales Associate (Full-time/Part-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Retail Associate (Full-time/Part-time)

All our Associates help us work toward our common goal: bring joy and provide an engaging and safe learning environment for children.  They are responsible for managing all attractions and activities at the Center, as well as demonstrating and promoting products to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Greets and engages customer, promptly and politely responds to customer inquiries and customer requests for help and support

  • Demonstrates and explains merchandise features and benefits to customers; processes customer transactions through the register, as required

  • Resolves (and escalates, as necessary) customer issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction

  • Manages activities and workshops according to the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Manages the rental fleet to ensure maximum readiness of the entertainment activities

  • Organizes and maintains merchandise areas on the sales floor

  • Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise

  • Maintains a clean working environment (cleans displays, counters, or tables)

  • Stamps, marks, or tags prices and restocks merchandise

  • Closes the cash register at the end of each shift​

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in retail, hospitality or entertainment business is a plus

  • Knowledge of the education industry and/or the extra-curricular industry (camps, after-school, etc.) are a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems

  • Ability to work with basic hand tools ((hoists, saws, drills, hammers, and wrenches)

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a retail business, which may entail working on weekends and holidays

  • Ability to complete physical duties (lifting 25lb)

  • Citizenship or U.S. work authorization

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation

  • Well-groomed and neat appearance


 

COMPENSATION: $14-$20 /hour
