Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Technician (Full-time/Part-time)

All our associates help us work toward our common goal: bring joy and provide an engaging and safe learning environment for children. Our Service Technicians are responsible for delivering best in class service to our guests by maintaining Arena’s rental fleet, repairing, upgrading, and fine-tuning products for our customers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Directly assist Arena’s customers with all product-related technical matters, including purchases, repairs, tune-ups, and upgrades

  • Estimate costs of repairs and upgrades

  • Provide timely service to Arena’s customers and internal staff

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance of Arena’s rental fleet to ensure top performance of the equipment

  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems and determine how to correct them. Read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary

  • Keep accurate track of all types and costs related to maintenance and repair work

  • Maintain active stock of parts, supplies, and any necessary equipment (identify, order, replenish)

  • Plan and layout repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education, certifications, or technical experience preferred)

  • Ability to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical devices; RC-hobby knowledge is a plus

  • Proficiency with various hand tools (hoists, saws, drills, hammers, and wrenches), and precision measuring instruments and other electronic equipment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers

  • Ability to complete physical duties (lifting 25lb)

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a retail business, which may entail working on weekends and holidays

  • Citizen or U.S. work authorization

  • Experience with kids' entertainment is a plus

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation

  • Well-groomed and neat appearance

COMPENSATION: $15-$30 /hour
